Negative Declaration

Schenectady County - The Town of Glenville Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Zoning Map Amendment - Sunnyside Road and Freemans Bridge Road Area will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposed zoning map amendment for the rezoning of approximately 130 acres from "Research/Development/Technology" to "General Business." The area under consideration for rezoning is generally bound by the Pan Am Southern Rail Line to the north, the Kromme Kill to the south, the Town of Glenville/Village of Scotia municipal border to the west, and the Lowe's and Reserve at Glenville properties to the east. Approximately 120 acres of the area to be rezoned is owned by Piotrowski, with the remaining 10 ± acres being owned by the Town of Glenville and the Pan Am Southern Railroad. The purpose of the proposed zoning map amendment is to eliminate the potential for undesirable industrial-related development in an area of Town that is trending towards retail and commercial, and in an area where the Town wishes to foster commercial development.

The project is located on the north side of Sunnyside Road and the Kromme Kill and south of the Pan Am Southern Rail Line in the Town of Glenville, New York.
