SEQR Lead Agency: NYS Department of Environmental Conservation

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to install steel sheet piling to replace a failing wood seawall along 140 linear feet of Little Salmon River shoreline. The proposed project area is within the 100 foot regulated adjacent area of DEC Class 1 regulated wetland TX-11. Rip-rap stone will be placed along the toe of the new seawall to enhance erosion protection. As proposed, the seawall and riprap will follow the existing shoreline footprint, with no waterward expansion or land reclamation.
