Project Description:

Applicant proposes to restore the toe of the bluff by placing up to 500 cubic yards of clean upland source sand across the affected area, regrade and revegetate. Proposed project activities are located seaward of the Coastal Erosion Hazard (CEHA) Line. Property is located at 58 Hedges Banks Drive, Town of East Hampton, Suffolk County.

Coastal Management:

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to clear areas within 75 feet of regulated freshwater wetland SA-1. The proposed clearing and ground disturbance work is associated with the construction of a new dwelling, driveway, swimming pool and sanitary system which are located beyond DEC jurisdiction. Erosion control measures will be utilized to prevent sediments from entering the wetland.

The site is located at 14 Lincoln Street, Sag Harbor, Village of Sag Harbor, Suffolk County, SCTM #302-7-3-22.

A cultural resources survey has been completed and cultural resources were identified. Based on information provided in the survey report, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has determined that the proposed activity will have no adverse impact on registered or eligible archaeological sites or historic structures. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
