Negative Declaration

Broome County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Honey Hollow Quarry Expansion will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the expansion of an existing bluestone mine from 5 acres to 31 acres on a 73.7 acre parcel owned by J . Nicholas Balducci. Typical bluestone mining operations are proposed. No protected streams or wetlands are to be impacted. All drainage is to be internal. The application is available for review in the NYS DEC - Region 7 Cortland Sub Office. The project is located at 645 Honey Hollow Road in the Town of Windsor, New York.

Chenango County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Upstate Companies Quarry will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the approval of a new 5 acre bluestone mine on a 347 acre parcel owned by Linda Zaczek. Typical bluestone mining operations are proposed. No protected streams or wetlands are on site and all drainage will be internal. The action is Type 1 because it exceeds the 2.5 acre threshold for actions within agricultural districts (6NYCRR Part 627.4(b)(8)). The project is located off Railroad Street in the Town of Guilford, New York.
