Project Description:

Applicant proposes to replace 62 linear feet of existing smooth-face bulkhead, in place and 18 inches higher, with navy-style bulkhead, and construct 16 linear feet of new bulkhead, below mean high water, to close a 16' x 27' boat ramp. Also proposed is maintenance dredging a 10' x 70' area to a depth of -4' mean low water. The resulting 25 cubic yards of dredge spoil and an additional 20 cubic yards of clean fill will be used to back fill the bulkhead and close the boat ramp. The proposal also includes two 6' bulkhead returns and a 5' x42' new parallel capping boardwalk. The project is located on Bay View Canal in the Village of Lindenhurst, Town of Babylon, Suffolk County.
