Project Description:

Development of a 3-lot residential subdivision on the remaining undeveloped lot of the previously permitted Stonecrest Preserve Subdivision. Development of the 3 lots will require the construction of an access road which will result in direct impacts to +/- 0.40 acres of the regulated adjacent area of DEC Freshwater Wetland ME-14.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is not subject to SEQR because it is a Type II action.

SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

A cultural resources survey has been completed and cultural resources were identified. Based on information provided in the survey report, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has determined that the proposed activity will have no adverse impact on registered or eligible archaeological sites or historic structures. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Aug 13, 2015.

Project Description:

The New York State Department of Transportation has proposed the replacement of the Route 29 bridge over Fish Creek. The existing bridge will be replaced with a single span, multi-girder structure on the same horizontal alignment. The vertical alignment will be raised approximately 4.5 feet to improve the hydraulic capacity of the structure. A temporary on-site detour, including a two-lane temporary bridge, will be constructed to the north of the existing bridge. The project will result in direct impacts to +/- 0.67 acre of DEC regulated Freshwater Wetland SY-1 and its regulated adjacent area. Wetland impacts will be mitigated at an off-site location.
