Project Description:

As the result of an Environmental Benefit Permit Strategy (EBPS) review, the Department intends to modify the permit for an existing discharge of 1,060 gpd of treated wastewater to a drainage ditch. The classification will be changed to be consistent with other facilites that have floor drains, and Outfall 002 would be changed from a groundwater discharge to a surface water discharge. Applicant proposes to treat Alpine Lake in the Town of Corinth with Sonar Genesis for the control of invasive pond weeds and elodea. Aquatic pesticide concentrations (active ingredient floridone) are estimated to exceed the water use restriction threshold of 1ppb within class II regulated wetland C-5, located at the outlet of Woodland Lake downstream of the application site.
