Project Description:

The applicant is proposing the construction of a 6,000 square foot professional office building and associated parking lot on the parcel located on the east side of Johns Street, approximately 930 feet south of Jefferson Road. The project would result in a disturbance of approximately 0.8 acres, the majority of which is located within a previously disturbed section of the regulated wetland adjacent area. A conservation easement will be placed on the remaining undeveloped land to avoid potential future impacts to the remaining wetland and floodplain.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.

SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

A cultural resources survey has been completed and cultural resources were identified. Based on information provided in the survey report, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has determined that the proposed activity will have no adverse impact on registered or eligible archaeological sites or historic structures. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

Remove an existing bridge on a Class C Tributary to Red Creek consisting of three 5-foot diameter 100-foot long corrugated metal pipes and replace with a 24-foot long clear-span bridge on concrete piles. The project is also located within NYS Freshwater Wetland ON-7. Disturbed banks within limits of channel where culverts are removed will be stabilized with rip rap.
