Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct 308 feet of new bulkhead at the toe of a bluff and armor the structure with 1,500-2,500 pound stone. The new structure is proposed to be 45 feet landward of the high tide line and seaward of the Coastal Erosion Hazard line. The project site is located at 157 Cliff Road, Village of Belle Terre, Suffolk County, SCTM #201-1-1-4.1 & 201-3-5-2,3,4 & 5.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to dredge a 25 foot by 30 foot shoal that has formed approximately 90 feet off shore of the dredged canal to a depth of 4 feet below apparent low water using a clam shell or other closed bucket equipment. Approximately 70 cubic yards of material will be dredged from the Southampton Town owned bay bottom and the material will be dewatered in a container on the barge before being trucked to the Brookhaven Town landfill for disposal. The project is located on the north side of Moriches Bay 90 feet off shore of the canal at Sandpiper Court, Westhampton, Southampton Town, SCTM # 900-394-1-1.1.
