Negative Declaration

Saratoga County - The Board of Trustees of Village of Corinth, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Local Law 2 of 2015 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the amendment of Chapter 500 of the Code of the Village of Corinth Section 500a "Schedule of Use Area and Bulk Regulations" to add "train station" as an allowed use in the Village Residential 1 Zoning District and Section 500-39 to add "train station" as a definition. The project is located in the Village Residential 1 Zoning District of the Village of Corinth, New York.

Saratoga County - The Town of Wilton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Louden Road Conservation Subdivision will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves 17 lot subdivision on 39.54 acres zoned R-2. The project is located at 209 Louden Road in the Town of Wilton, New York .

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Essex County - The Adirondack Park Agency (APA), as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Map Amendment 2014-04 (Linder/Westport). A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on June 25, 2105 at 1:00 p.m. at the Westport Town Hall, 22 Champlain Avenue, Westport, NY. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until July 17, 2015. The Draft EIS is available from the Adirondack Park Agency headquarters, 1133 NYS Route 86, Ray Brook NY and on line at: www.apa.ny.gov.

The action involves a proposal by a private landowner to amend the Official Adirondack Park Land Use and Development Plan Map by reclassifying approximately 12 acres from Resource Management to Hamlet in the Town of Westport. The project is located on the north side of Stevenson Road, approximately. 0.3 mile west of intersection with Route 9N in the Town of Westport, New York.

Notice of Final Scope, Notice of Completion of Draft EIS, Notice of Public Comment Period, and Notice of Public Hearing

Essex and Hamilton Counties - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, is issuing a Notice of Final Scope, Notice of Completion of Draft EIS, Notice of Public Comment Period, and Notice of Public Hearing on the proposed Essex Chain Lakes Management Complex Draft Plan / Draft EIS.

NYS DEC has completed a Draft Plan/Draft EIS for the Essex Chain Lakes Management Complex. The Plan includes Unit Management Plans (UMPs) for the Essex Chain Lakes Primitive Are and Pine Lake Primitive Area, Draft UMP Amendments for the Blue Mountain Wild Forest and Vanderwhacker Mountain Wild Forest, a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (Draft EIS), and River Area Management Plans, pursuant to 6 NYCRR 666.7, for the Hudson River, Cedar River and Boreas River. Major proposals in the Plan include the designation and construction of hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, bicycling, and equestrian trails; the addition and enhancement of equestrian facilities; the construction of a bridge over the Cedar River, the addition and enhancement of access for people with disabilities, and the enhancement of paddling opportunities.

The project is located in the Towns of Newcomb and Minerva in Essex County, New York; and Town of Indian Lake in Hamilton County, New York.

There will be two public hearings on the Plan:

Notice of Intent to Prepare EIS, Notice of Completion of Draft SEIS, and Notice of Public Comment Period

Essex, Franklin, and Hamilton Counties - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) and the New York State Department of Transportation (NYS DOT), as co-lead agencies, have completed a Draft Unit Management Plan (UMP) Amendment / Draft SEIS for the Remsen-Lake Placid Travel Corridor. The amendment proposes to remove the rails along the corridor between the Village of Tupper Lake and the Village of Lake Placid and convert it to a multiple-use recreational trail; to leave in place the existing rails between the Village of Remsen and the Big Moose Station; and to rehabilitate the rails between the Big Moose Station and the Village of Tupper Lake.

The project is located in the Villages of Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, and Town of North Elba in Essex County, New York; Villages of Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake and Towns of Harrietstown and Tupper Lake in Franklin County, New York; Towns of Piercefield and Colton in St. Lawrence County, New York; Town of Long Lake in Hamilton County, New York; Town of Webb in Herkimer County, New York; and the Village of Remsen and Towns of Forestport, Steuben and Remsen in Oneida County, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final SEIS

Saratoga County - The Town Board of the Town of Malta, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Luther Forest Technology Campus Planned Development District Proposed Amendments. The Final SEIS is available from the contact person listed below and on line at: http://malta-town.org/DocumentCenter/View/609.

Luther Forest Technology Campus Economic Development Corporation and GLOBALFOUNDRIES, US INC., are jointly requesting that certain amendments be made to the Planned Development District (PDD) legislation in the Towns of Malta and Stillwater in order to change limitations on uses in development areas, expansion of some of the uses and definitions within the PDD, eliminate restrictions on payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) agreements within the zone, and alter some of the subdivision, noise, and site plan restrictions in order to achieve parity with other neighboring zones.

The project is located at 400 Stonebreak Road Extension in the Town of Malta and Town of Stillwater, New York.
