Negative Declaration

Dutchess County - The Town of East Fishkill Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Mews at Hopewell Junction will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the development of a 20.6 acre portion of a 126.92 acre Town owned parcel (Project Site) for workforce housing (The Mews). The Proposed Project is comprised of the following actions:

1) The subdivision of 20.6 acres for the development of 89 units of workforce housing - Ken Kearney Realty Development proposes to develop 20.6 of acres of the Project
Site with workforce housing. The proposed workforce housing development would result in the construction of six (6) buildings with a total of 89 units including 22 two bedroom and 14 three bedroom townhomes, 34 one bedroom and 18 two bedroom apartments and one two bedroom superintendents unit. In addition, 22 of the 89 units have been set aside for individuals with disabilities. The housing will be served by an internal access road off of NYS Route 376. The housing development will be connected to Town water and sewer.

2) Construction of stormwater facilities, recreational amenities and an approximately 500 foot access road and 250 foot emergency access road connecting the 20 acre Mews project parcel to Route 376.

The project is located off Route 376 in the Town of East Fishkill, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft GEIS and Public Hearing

Dutchess County - The Town of Washington Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Adoption of 2015 Comprehensive Plan. A public hearing on the Draft GEIS will be held on June 11, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Washington Town Hall, 10 Reservoir Drive, Millbrook, New York. Written comments on the Draft GEIS will be accepted until June 24, 2015. The Draft GEIS is available from the Town of Washington Town Hall, 10 Reservoir Drive, Millbrook, NY; the Millbrook Free Library, 3 Friendly Lane, Millbrook, NY and on line at: http://www.washingtonny.org/.

The action involves the proposed adoption of a new Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Washington. Associated amendments to the Zoning Code will be taken up at a later time. The proposed Plan and amendments are based on planning principles that reflect a town wide perspective on the most appropriate land uses, management and policies. The project is located throughout the Town of Washington, New York.
