Project Description:

Applicant proposes to build a 130 foot long temporary cofferdam using concrete blocks along the southern and eastern walls of the building located at 10 Genesee Street along the Owasco Outlet. Fill will be placed behind the blocks to create a stabilized construction surface to allow work to be done to the existing building. A floating turbidity curtain will be used in the watercourse to prevent any turbid discharge, and silt fencing will be used in upland locations. Work will be coordinated with the City of Auburn to be done during low flow. Upon completion of the work the fill and cofferdam will be removed and the bed and banks will be returned to their original state.

Approximately 200 cubic yards of heavy stone will be placed along the abutments for scour protection. Work will be done in the dry utilizing cofferdams, and appropriate erosion control measures will be taken to prevent any discharge in the creek.
