Project Description:

The Department has made a tentative determination to issue a new discharge permit for this existing discharge of up to 8,200 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste to Tributary 37-1 of the Susquehanna River. The Draft Permit includes updated stream Class from D to Class C, and monitoring frequency has been increased from once every 4 months to once every 3 months. The Draft Permit and a Statement of Basis is available for review in the DEC Cortland Office.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to install approximately 60 linear feet of pre-cast block wall, about 24 inches in height, along the Salmon River shoreline footprint. The project is within the 100 foot regulated adjacent area of DEC Class 1 regulated wetland PI-2. An estimated 7.5 cubic yards of clean fill will be placed below the mean high water level per the proposed project plans.

Project Description:

The Chenango Co IDA proposes to restore the 45 mile long Utica Main Track through Chenango County which involves repairs to multiple sections of existing railroad bed and tracks including existing culvert cleaning and culvert repairs and replacement. The proposed work impacts multiple locations along the Chenango River and its tributaries. The US Army Corps of Engineers is reviewing the project for compliance with applicable federal permits. Project plans are available for review in the DEC Cortland Office by appointment.
