Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Good Ground Park Phase 2 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of elements within Good Ground Park. These elements include a new roadway with parking, raised planted medians, landscaping and street lighting. A playground for children aged 2-12, an amphitheater and stage, a comfort station, new signage and walking routes to access the park and throughout the parkland. The project is located on Squiretown Road in the Hamlet of Hampton Bays, Town of Southampton, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Arboretum at Farmingville. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on May 7, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town of Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill, Farmingville, NY 11738. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until May 18, 2015. The Draft EIS is available from the Office of the Brookhaven Town Clerk; the Sachem Public Library; the Middle Country Public Library; the Town of Brookhaven Division of Environmental Protection and on line at: www.brookhaven.org.

The action involves an application for a change of zone and relief of covenant and restrictions to permit the redevelopment of a 65.24 ± acre property from the currently developed agricultural and related commercial uses to a mixed-use residential and commercial development. The proposed development consists of the construction of approximately 294 residential units; two 12,000 ± square foot commercial buildings; a 7,500 square foot recreational club house for residents; a 7,728 ± square foot sewage treatment plant (STP) with 150,000 ± gallons per day capacity; 307 parking spaces situated in multiple parking fields throughout the subject property, single and double driveways and personal garages; internal driveways; and associated appurtenances. An approximately 4.69 ± acre public park area is also proposed. Access to the subject property would be from an access point located along Horseblock Road and another from Henry Street on the east side of the property. Additionally, an emergency access drive would connect to the Alamo Drive to the west. The project is located on the southside of Horseblock Road (County Route 16) approximately 811 feet west of Hanrahan Avenue in the Hamlet of Farmingville, Town of Brookhaven, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Nassau County - The Town of North Hempstead, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Olive Hill at Manhasset. The Final EIS is available from the Town Clerk of North Hempstead and on line at: http://www.northhempsteadny.gov/content/7350/7121/7237/5340/7243/.

The action involves the construction of a 72 unit age restricted senior apartment complex on a 3.19 acre site. The project is located at High Street and Community Drive in Manhasset, Town of North Hempstead, New York.
