Design Standards for Wastewater Treatment Works in the Lake George Basin

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has updated the Design Standards for Wastewater Treatment Works in the Lake George Basin (Lake George Design Standards). The official release date of the Lake George Design Standards is March 18, 2015. The finalized 2015 document is available at: http://www.dec.ny.gov/permits/95768.html.

This 2015 Design Standard is applicable for municipal, private, commercial and institutional SPDES wastewater facilities. The 1989 Design Standard will remain in effect as the design guidance for the 2005 Private Commercial and Institutional General Permit, i.e. SPDES General Permit 0-05-001. When that general permit is re-issued, the 2015 Design Standard will be the applicable design guidance for that permit.
