Negative Declaration

Cayuga County - The Town of Mentz, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Mentz and Village of Port Byron Comprehensive Plan will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a collaboration between the Town of Mentz and the Village of Port Byron to create a Joint Comprehensive Plan which will set the tone for the future of life, economics, and recreation in their community. The Town and Village have not updated their comprehensive plan since 1999. The plan examines many facets of the public realm that makes up this community, and is intended to guide the growth of the community for the next five to fifteen years. The comprehensive plan shall serve as the official policy document for both the Town and the Village and will be the basis for future land use and regulatory decisions relating to housing, natural and historic resources, economic development, farmland protection, as well as many other related issues. The purpose of this plan is to help guide community leaders in their efforts to achieve the vision for the community's future and promote development in a manner which is coordinated, orderly and beneficial to the entire community. The plan identifies a vision, eleven goals and twenty-three action items for the future of the community.

The project is located in the entire territory of the Town of Mentz, including the Village of Port Byron, New York.

Cayuga County - The City of Auburn Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 17 Clymer Street -Tyburn Academy Gymnasium Addition will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. Tyburn Academy is constructing a 14,000 square foot gymnasium addition to the existing Tyburn Academy School located at 17 Clymer Street in the City of Auburn, New York. Site improvements include down walpack lighting on the building and an underground pipe for stormwater.
