Project Description:

The USCG proposes to repair/replace/rehabilitate existing structures, conduct maintenance dredging, and install new shoreline protection at its facility at Station Jones Beach. Structures to be replaced include the bulkhead, four docks, a two-finger travel lift, and the existing 146-foot groin with a proposed extension of the groin. The shoreline protection involves excavation and placement of stone armor along the north side of the station, and the dredging involves removal of up to 9,900 cy of material to a depth of -8' MLW to remove shoal areas and maintain safe navigation. A portion of suitable dredge material will be placed on site with the remainder removed to an appropriate upland location.

Project Description:

The Department has made a tentative decision to approve the application to establish Emission Reduction Credits (ERC's) as a result of permanent shut down of four (4) internal combustion engines (ICEs) used by the PE Bay Shore facility located at 55 Paradise Lane, Bay Shore, NY 11706. The applicant chose a period of twenty four (24) consecutive months (01/10/2009 to 09/30/2011) when the facility had the highest emissions, to use for the ERC calculation. This 24 month period was representative of normal facility operations and can be accepted as the baseline period.

The applicant has requested 86.42 tons of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and 8.14 tons of volatile organic compounds (VOC), and the Department has approved 86.42 tons of NOx and 8.14 tons of VOC reductions. The application and supporting documentation are available for review at the NYSDEC Region 1 office.

Project Description:

The Department has made a tentative determination to approve the establishment of Emission Reduction Credits (ERC's) as a result of a facility shutdown located at 40 Ranick Road, Hauppauge, NY.

The ERC's resulting from the permanent shutdown of three (3) flexographic printing presses are intended to be used to determine the emission cap for the current facility at 115 Engineer's Road, Hauppauge, NY.

For the ERC calculation the applicant has chosen two consecutive annual periods, 01/01/2009 to 12/31/2010. This two year period was representative of normal facility operations an can be accepted as the baseline period. The emission credits for each contaminant is as follows (in tons per year): VOC= 81.3 tpy.

In accordance with 6NYCRR Parts 621.7(b)(9) and 201-6.3(c), the Administrator of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) has the authority to bar issuance of any Title V Facility Permit if it is determined not to be in compliance with applicable requirements of the Clean Air Act or 6NYCRR Part 201.

Persons wishing to inspect the subject Title V files, including the application with all relevant supporting materials, the draft permit, and all other materials available to the DEC (the "permitting authority") that are relevant to this permitting decision should contact the DEC representative listed below. Project Description:

The applicant proposes to rehabilitate and improve the waterfront facilities at the US Coast Guard Station on Shinnecock Bay. The proposed project includes the replacement of 651 linear feet of bulkhead, the replacement of approximately 1,000 linear feet of breakwater/wave screen with the existing rip-rap to be relocated from the inboard side to the outside (bay side) of the new wave screen, demolition of 19,920 sq. ft. of concrete wharf and replacement with 6,180 sq. ft. of new concrete wharf, re-arrangement of existing concrete floating docks, installation of one new 600 sq. ft. concrete floating dock, construction of a new 20' x 127' concrete boat ramp, and maintenance dredging of the boat basin to a depth of 8' below mean low low water with the resultant 8,500 cu. yds. of dredged material proposed to be disposed of at an approved upland location. The proposed project is located in NYSDEC regulated tidal wetlands and adjacent area at 100 Foster Avenue in Hampton Bays, Town of Southampton in Suffolk County, SCTM# 900-374-2-21.
