Negative Declaration

Rensselaer County - The Village of Hoosick Falls Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Village of Hoosick Falls Sewer Collection System Improvements Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action includes sewer system improvements including the replacement or rehabilitation of existing sewers, the construction of new and rehabilitation of existing sewer pump stations along with the construction or modification of all ancillary and associated improvements necessary for the proper installation, proper operation, and proper functionality of the proposed improvements. The project includes the replacement and/or rehabilitation of approximately 3,000 lineal feet of existing sewers on Superior Street, Carey Avenue, Church Street, Willow Street, Center Street, Lyman Street, and Water Street, and areas adjacent to these areas for the purpose of reconnecting sewers, within the Village of Hoosick Falls. The replacement and rehabilitation of sewers will generally be performed via conventional trenching methods or approved trenchless technologies (such as cured-in-place lining, pipe bursting, directional drilling, or the like). The project will also include a new sewer pump station and associated forcemain and the rehabilitation of the River Road Sewer Pump Station along with approximately 7,000 lineal feet of new or rehabilitated forcemain. The project is located at various locations throughout the Village of Hoosick Falls, New York.
