Negative Declaration

Rensselaer County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Cammerotta Mine will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the expansion of the previously approved pond area from 55 acres to 56 acres within the Cammerotta Mine parcel, and to extend the pond into the Dyer Lease Mine. The overall life of mine area of 109 acres will not change as a result of this action, however, the area to be reclaimed as pond will increase from 55 to 56 acres. The project is located on Allen Road in the Town of Schaghticoke, New York.

Rensselaer County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Dyer Lease Mine will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the removal of 0.74 acres from the life of mine, the addition of 0.37 acres, and the expansion of the pond from the adjacent Cammerotta Mine into the Dyer Lease Pit by 5.3 acres. The project is located Allen Road in the Town of Schaghticoke, New York.
