Chautauqua County - The project involves a 53-acre lateral expansion of the Chautauqua County Landfill to the west of the existing landfill. The landfill area together with the perimeter berms, channel and access roads, plus stormwater control ponds, totals approximately 74 acres. The proposed expansion would extend the life of the landfill approximately 20 years. The height of the lateral expansion area would be equal to the current design elevation of the existing landfill, 1,850 feet. The proposed rate of waste acceptance would not be changed from the existing permitted rate of 1,883 tons per day.

A public statement hearing has been scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on March 4, 2015. Written comments must be received by March 11, 2015 to be considered.

Ontario County - Applicant has submitted applications for permits from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) to expand the Ontario County landfill on Route 5 & 20 in the Town of Seneca, Ontario County, New York, which is a mixed solid waste landfill accepting non-hazardous solid waste.

A legislative hearing has been scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on March 3, 2015 to hear and receive unsworn statements of the public concerning the application. A pre-adjudicatory issues conference has been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on March 11, 2015 and continue on March 12, 2015, if necessary. Petitions for party status must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. on February 25, 2015. Written comments must be received by March 3, 2015 to be considered.
