Public Meeting Notice
Shandaken SPDES Semi-Annual Meeting
The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) is pleased to announce that the next semi-annual public meeting, held per the Shandaken SPDES permit, will be on Friday February 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Shandaken Town Hall, 7209 Route 28, Shandaken, NY. DEP will discuss the progress of activities conducted pursuant to the SPDES permit. In case of inclement weather, the snow date is February 25th at 2:00 p.m.
The meeting is open to the public and public input is welcome.

Columbia County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed MCR Sand an Gravel - Lynks Gravel Bank Mined Land Permit Modification will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the applicant to renew and modify their existing permit to include construction of a 5 acre pond in the final reclamation plan. The modification requires a drop in the mine floor elevation to 186 feet amsl, which is 12 feet into the groundwater table. The project is located off County Route 19 in the Town of Livingston, New York.
