ENB - Region 4 Notices 12/31/2013

Negative Declaration

Delaware County - The Town of Meredith Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of Local Law will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the adoption of a local law that serves to ban certain heavy industrial uses in the Town of Meredith, as are described in the local law. The purpose of this law is to protect the health, safety and well-being in the residents, to protect the town's physical and visual environment, to prevent adverse impacts that could result from heavy industrial uses and high impact uses, especially to the town's groundwater supplies. The law seeks to prevent those uses that have high risks to water, wildlife and habitats, traffic, noise, housing, and to the Town's character. The local law is consistent with, and implements the goals established in the Town of Meredith Comprehensive Plan and the Agriculture and Farmland Protection Plan. The project is located throughout the Town of Meredith, New York.
