The Minisink Valley Central School District has applied for a modification of the existing SPDES permit associated with the Otisville Elementary School. The NYSDEC has proposed to issue a modified SPDES permit pursuant to 6 NYCRR Part 750. Modifications include: a daily maximum flow limit of 5,000 gallons per day and water quality based effluent limits for ammonia of 14.5 mg/l in the summer and 21.7 mg/l in the winter. A Draft SPDES permit with DEC proposed effluent limits and monitoring requirements is available for review at the DEC Region 3 headquarters in New Paltz.
