Steuben County - The Town of Prattsburgh, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Prattsburgh Water Supply Improvements Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a replacement of existing water main on School Street, Chapel Street and Mechanic Street, replacement of 2,900 lineal feet of water mail along NYS Route 53, installation of a pressure reducing station in line of existing water main near Chapel Street and Route 53, installation of a storage tank mixing system, complete demolition of an abandoned storage tank, storage tank site improvements, installation of an emergency generator, rehabilitation of existing wells, rehabilitation of an existing iron filter, installation of an autodialer device, installation of disinfection metering improvements, purchase of various parts, supplies and assets, and renovation of an existing well house building. This work is described in an engineering report titled "Town of Prattsburgh Phase III Water System Improvements" published by Larson Design Group, March 2010, and amended March 27, 2012 and September 24, 2012. The project is located along School Street, Chapel Street, Mechanic Street and NYS Route 53 in the Town of Prattsburgh, New York.
