Adirondack Park Agency Policy on the Use of the Herbicides Renovate® and Renovate® OTF

The Adirondack Park Agency (APA) is proposing Guidelines and Policy for use of the herbicide Renovate® and Renovate® OTF to manage Eurasian watermilfoil, an aquatic invasive plant, in certain circumstances. The draft document can be obtained from the Adirondack Park Agency's website at: www.apa.ny.gov. Comments on the Guidelines and Policy will be accepted until December 2, 2013.

The Guidelines and Policy will affect all waters in the Adirondack Park, New York State Counties will include Clinton, Essex, Franklin, Fulton, Hamilton, Herkimer, Lewis, Oneida, St. Lawrence, Saratoga, Warren and Washington.

Project Description: The action involves the construction and operation of a new 100 foot tall telecommunications tower with 4 foot lightning rod and associated antennas, an equipment shelter (11 feet 9 inches by 30 feet 1 inch), access road improvements and construction of 1,700 foot long extension of access road. The Project requires an Adirondack Park Agency permit as a new major public utility use in a "Rural Use" area and a structure greater than 40 feet in height.
