This new permissive service area will serve four residential properties along Putts Hill Road just east of the intersection with Shoemaker Road. The source of water will be purchased from the existing Village of Mohawk wells and will have a peak demand of 2,700 gallons per day. Proposed improvements to the water supply system to service this area include bosster pumps and the installation of 750 linear feet of 3 inch water main.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

DEC has drafted a renewal permit, an Air State Facility Permit, with an expiration date according to Article 19 (Air Pollution Control) of the Environmental Conservation Law for the facility located at Crowley Foods LaFargeville Plant, 20700 State Route 411, LaFargeville, NY 13656. This facility processes raw milk and other ingredients into cultured dairy products. Facility utilizes four 9.9 mmbtu/hr Superior boilers fueled by #6 oil to produce steam used in the manufacturing process. It has a cap for its SO2 levels and sends in regular reports for review. State regulations have been updated in this permit which includes the addition of a 10 yr expiration date. The draft permit with conditions is available for review in the Region 6 NYSDEC office in Watertown, New York.
