Project Description:

The applicant is proposing to enlarge and connect two existing irrigation ponds to increase the groundwater holding capacity from 93,000 cubic feet to 164,000 cubic feet. The ponds are located within an area currently maintained as part of the golf course but located within NYS Freshwater Wetland PN-3. Silt fence will be installed to protect water quality during construction and the excavated material will be spread on the driving range.

Project Description:

Applicant proposes to demolish an existing 1,200 square foot (SF) dwelling and construct a new residential dwelling on an approximately 2,700 SF footprint with associated utilities, 900 SF two-car garage with second floor sleeping quarters, covered porches, and new driveway. Dwelling will be connected to sanitary sewers. Also proposed is a stairway to a new 115-foot by 5-foot dock on piles and 14-foot by 18-foot boat hoist on Irondequoit Bay. The project will result in the disturbance of approximately 0.37 acres of the 100-foot adjacent area and approximately 0.80 acres of the 300-foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland RE-1 (Class 1).
