Project Title: Wilmington Snowmobile Trail Construction

Location: Wilmington Wild Forest in the Town of Wilmington, New York.

Project Description: A 45 foot bench cut is necessary along the Wilmington Snowmobile Trail (this trail connects Wilmington to Forestdale Road in the Town of Black Brook) to reduce a significant cross slope on the section of trail. This project was approved on pages 64-68 in the Wilmington Wild Forest Unit Management Plan (UMP) / GEIS October 2005. Two beech trees (4 and 10 inches diameter at breast height) on the uphill side of the bench cut may need to be removed. The bench cut is located near the Atmospheric Sciences Research Center Administrative Area. The Wilmington Snowmobile trail is a Class II (community connector) trail built in accordance with NYS DEC's Management Guidance on "Snowmobile Trail Siting, Construction and Maintenance on Forest Preserve Lands in the Adirondack Park". Tree cutting will be in compliance with Lands and Forest Policy # 91-2 on Cutting, Removal or Destruction of Trees and Other Vegetation on Forest Preserve lands.

Clinton County - The Town of Plattsburgh Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Schluter Systems, L.P. & SSF Production, LLC Site Plan 2013 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the request to expand the existing parking lot between buildings 10 and 26 by 33 spaces with side walk improvements. The project is located at 194 Pleasant Ridge Road in the Town of Plattsburgh, New York.

Warren County - Warren County, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Runway 01 End Obstruction Removal Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the removal of trees to Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 77 Surfaces located on airport property and property owned by the Sponsor off the Runway 1 end. The proposed action is to enhance safety while maintaining GFL's existing operational capacity and to comply with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and design standards. The project is located at the Floyd Bennett Memorial Airport, 443 Queensbury Avenue in the Town of Queensbury, New York.

Essex County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Interim Access Plan for Essex Chain Lakes Tract and Essex Chain Lakes Easement Tract will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. NYS DEC has adopted an Interim Access Plan for the former Finch Forest Preserve Acquisition, Fall 2013, Essex Chain Lakes Tract and Essex Chain Lakes Easement Tract. This Plan establishes interim public access to the Essex Chain Lakes Tract, while protecting area natural resources. Public motor vehicle access along the Cornell Road, through the Essex Chain Lakes Conservation Easement, is pursuant to an Interim Recreation Management Plan, (Appendix 2 of the Interim Access Plan).

The project is located in the Town of Minerva and Town of Newcomb, New York.
