Draft Notice of issuance of Request for Proposals for On-Site Container Storage, Transport and Disposal of Recyclable Materials for the City of Long Beach, New York
Please take notice, that pursuant to, and in accordance with, Section 120-(w)(4)(e)(2)(i) of the New York State General Municipal Law, the City of Long Beach has issued a Draft Request for Proposals (Draft RFP) for the purpose of soliciting comments from prospective proposers and the public, with respect to the above specified Contract, prior to the issuance of a Final Request for Proposals. Said comments are to be made in writing and submitted to the City of Long Beach Department of Public Works, One West Chester Street, Room 404, Long Beach, New York 11561, no later than the close of business on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. Upon receipt of all comments, the City of Long Beach may issue a Final Request for Proposals. Do not submit costs with the comments on this Draft Request for Proposals.
The Draft Request for Proposal is on file, and may be obtained (except Saturday, Sunday, and Holidays) on or after Wednesday, October 2, 2013 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the City of Long Beach City Clerk's Office, City Managers Office, and Department of Public Works, at City Hall, One West Chester Street, Long Beach, New York 11561. There is no fee associated with obtaining this document.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping
Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Elite Towers & AT&T of Bridgehampton may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on October 10, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at the Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton, NY 11968. The Draft Scoping Document is available from the Town of Southampton Planning Department, Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton, NY 11968.
The action involves the construction of a 120 foot tall monopole wireless telecommunications facility on a 16,213 square foot parcel improved with an existing warehouse storage building with accessory parking. The project is located in the LI-40 Zoning District in the Aquifer Protection Overlay District located at 61 Foster Ave in the Hamlet of Bridgehampton, Town of Southampton, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final GEIS
Suffolk County - The Town Board of the Town of Brookhaven, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Carmans River Conservation and Management Plan. The Final GEIS is available from the Town of Brookhaven Office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Brookhaven; local libraries and on line at: http://www.brookhaven.org/Departments/PlanningEnvironment/PlanningandEnvironment.aspx.
The goal of the proposed Carmans River Conservation and Management Plan is to preserve, protect, and restore the water quality in the surface waters of the Carmans River and the various ecosystems and species that are associated with and dependent upon the Carmans River. The proposed Plan delineates a Management Plan Area comprised of the groundwater and the surface water contributing areas determined by recent groundwater flow modeling performed by Camp, Dresser & McKee for utilization in the Suffolk County Groundwater Model and the Nassau/Suffolk County Portion of Long Island's Source Water Assessment Program (SWAP).
Recommendations set forth in the Carmans River Conservation and Management Plan include the purchase of selected parcels, rezoning of parcels and areas, adding select properties within the Management Plan Area to the Central Pine Barrens Core Preservation Area (Core Expansion Area) and Central Pine Barrens Compatible Growth Area, establishment of a Watershed Protection Improvement District and monitoring protocols.
The proposed Plan area encompasses approximately 23,000 acres and includes all or parts of the hamlets of Rocky Point, Coram, Middle Island, Ridge, Yaphank, Shirley, and Mastic in the Town of Brookhaven, New York. The entire Town of Brookhaven, New York may receive transfer of development.
