Negative Declaration

Chautauqua County - The Dunkirk City School District, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 2013 Capital Improvements Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the reconstruction, renovation and building upgrade work at the High School and site work at the High School campus and 5.5 ± acres of adjacent land leased from the City of Auburn. In conjunction with the project, the current lease of the adjacent land from the City will be extended through 2031 as some of the athletic field and other site work improvements will be undertaken on the leased land.

Site work includes upgrades to the baseball and softball fields and a new soccer practice field, including regrading, drainage, fencing, water lines to dugouts. The internal campus roadway and faculty lot will be reconstructed as needed. The utility road will be extended north of the softball field, and a new access road, parking, drainage, lighting, landscaping and sidewalk will be constructed to better serve the fields. Other site work will include reconstruction of pavement from 6th Street to south parking lot, upgrades to concrete at the 6th Street entry, widening sidewalk, reconstructing crosswalk/curb ramps at 6th Street, installation of tiered landscaped area with stair to Victory Bell, improvements to bleachers, and extending water, power, and sanitary lines to the site of the future concession stand.

Building upgrade items include reconstructing existing spaces for new Guidance Suite, Administrative offices, reconfiguring Computer Lab, renovating shower rooms, mechanical drawing room and music instrument storage room and various other upgrades such as doors including intrusion protection, walls, flooring, ADA-compliant room signage and wayfinding system, and new sewage ejection pumps.

The project is located on the campus of the Dunkirk Senior High School at 75 West 6th Street in the City of Dunkirk, New York.

Erie County - The Marilla Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Marilla LLC Application will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the applicant, Marrilla LLC, seeking to rezone 25 acres of vacant land presently zoned Agricultural to Business. The project is located on Clinton Street near Two Rod Road in the Town of Marilla, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Erie County - The Town of Hamburg Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Willow Woods Subdivision. The Final EIS is available from the Town of Hamburg Planning Department, S 6111 South Park Avenue, Hamburg, New York.

The action involves the subdivision of a 141.4 acre parcel of land into 49, one-half acre lots for the construction of single-family detached homes. The subject parcel is vacant and is located on the south side of Taylor Road in the Town of Hamburg. The action includes construction of approximately 2,800 linear feet of new public roadway, water lines, sanitary sewer lines as well as other public utilities to serve the proposed dwellings. Two (2) stormwater detention basins are proposed on the project site for aesthetics and storm water attenuation. The project is located on Taylor Road in the Town of Hamburg, New York.
