Forest Preserve Classification Proposal and Public Meeting Notice
Classification Proposal for the Eastern Portion of the Big Indian Acquisition and Public Meeting
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as Lead Agency, has completed a proposal to classify 940 acres of Forest Preserve under the provisions of the Catskill Park State Land Master Plan and will hold a public informational meeting to present the proposal and receive public comments on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 7:00 pm at the Belleayre Mountain Ski Center Overlook Lodge on Route 49A in Highmount, NY. The Overlook Lodge is wheelchair accessible. Please call the Ski Center at: (845) 254-5600 to let us know of any other specific accommodations you may require by Tuesday, September 17th. The meeting will begin with a presentation summarizing the classification proposal followed by an opportunity for the public to present comments. The proposal classifies Forest Preserve lands acquired by New York State in December of 2011 on the eastern ridge of Belleayre Mountain. Classification of these lands will guide future management and determine recreational opportunities. NYS DEC initiated this proposal in 2012.

The Big Indian acquisition is located in the Town of Shandaken, Ulster County, in southeast New York State. The lands to be classified encompass approximately 940 acres of Forest Preserve on the eastern side of Belleayre Mountain in the Catskill Park.

Second Amendment to June 25, 2013 RFP for Operation and Maintenance Dutchess County Resource Recovery Agency's Waste-To-Energy Facility
Notice is hereby given that the Dutchess County Resource Recovery Agency (Agency) has on August 15, 2013 adopted a second amendment to its Request for Proposals (RFP), dated June 25, 2013, for a contract (Service Agreement) to operate and maintain the Agency's waste-to-energy facility (Facility) commencing on July 1, 2014.
The second amendment extends the time to submit proposals until 3:00 p.m. on September 18, 2013 at the Agency office, located at 96 Sand Dock Road, Poughkeepsie, New York 12601.

Sullivan County - The Town of Thompson Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Monticello Motor Club Site Plan Modification will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the expansion of the existing motor club site plan to include an off-road coarse, a corporate office, turf grass parking area, security fencing, new pit area and adjacent paddock area, new karting track, 88 new garages in 8 separate structures, 30 new garages in 3 separate structures, improvement of spectator access throughout the site to include 4 new pedestrian crossing bridges and one trolley crossing bridge over the track, 11 autominium buildings containing 6 individual units each with garage space on the first floor and living space above, support building at the new paddock, medical center / clubhouse, a two level North clubhouse, and the construction of an overpass over Cantrell Road. The project is located at Cantrell Road in Monticello, Town of Thompson, New York.

Westchester County - The Hastings on Hudson Union Free School District (UFSD) - Board of Education, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Bonding of School District Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the roof replacement at the Middle School auditorium and High School gym, masonry repointing and repairs; replacement of classroom and fire doors; interior wall and ceiling plaster repairs; replace boiler and electrical service; and new auditorium seating, flooring, and lighting. At Hillside Elementary the upgrade of electrical service; replace classroom and fire doors; and the replacement floor, wall and ceiling finishes. The foregoing improvements are occurring to the exterior shells or interior spaces of existing buildings. The renovation of the existing Reynolds Field includes the installation of a new regulation track and field with new bleachers; replacement of the existing grass field with a synthetic turf field of the same size; relocation of a playground and one tennis court; construction of a sidewalk around a portion of the perimeter of the Reynolds Field area; improvements to the storm drain system; and the installation of pedestrian-scaled lampposts around the track and field. The project is located at the Farragut Middle School and Hastings High School, 27 Farragut Avenue; the Hillside Elementary, 120 Lefurgy Avenue and an area adjacent to and south of Chauncey Lane at the Reynolds Field in the incorporated Village of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
