Shandaken SPDES Semi-Annual Meeting

The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP) is pleased to announce that the next semi-annual public meeting, held per the Shandaken SPDES permit, will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at the Schoharie Watershed Office, 6049 Main Street, Tannersville NY. NYC DEP will discuss the progress of activities conducted pursuant to the SPDES permit.

The meeting is open to the public and public input is welcome.

Positive Declaration

Westchester County - The City of Mount Vernon City Council, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Creation of Senior Citizen Housing Floating Overlay Zone may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves zoning amendments which affect permitting and construction of senior citizen housing within the City of Mount Vernon. The zoning amendments are intended to provide greater clarity on regulatory aspects, as contrasted to a construction or development project on a specific site. No construction or change in land use is proposed or planned in association with the proposed action. The proposed action consists f the review, adoption and implementation of a Local Law amending Chapter 267, Zoning of the City Code of the City of Mount Vernon. The project is located throughout the City of Mount Vernon, New York.
