Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Monroe County - The Town of Brighton Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Winfield Park. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 11, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Brighton Town Hall, 2300 Elmwood Avenue, Brighton, NY 14618. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on September 30, 2013. The Draft EIS is available from the Brighton Town Hall, 2300 Elmwood Avenue in Brighton and on line at: http://townofbrighton.org.

The action involves Incentive Zoning and Rezoning (from RLB Residential-Low Density to BE-1 Office & Office Park and PUD Planned Unit Development) approval for mixed use development including residential, assisted living, office space and a community center on property located on Brighton-Henrietta Town Line Road, east of South Clinton Avenue, in the Town of Brighton, New York. The application proposes, on 132.9 ± acres of land, the development of 66 single-family 'patio' homes; 65 townhomes; 360 apartment units contained within eight, four-story buildings; four, 10 bed assisted living residences to be owned and operated by St. John's Home; 332,000 total square feet of office space; a 11,000 ± square foot community center; and a 1,500 ± square foot recycle/refuse and mail center to serve the apartment uses.
