ENB - Region 8 Notices 7/31/2013

Negative Declaration

Ontario County - The Farmington Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Mertensia Road Reconstruction Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The Town of Farmington is proposing the reconstruction of Mertensia Road, between State Route 96 on the north and County Road 41 on the south in the Town of Farmington, New York. The project involves 4,700 centerline feet of roadway, with two 11 foot wide travel lanes, two 5 foot wide paved shoulders with curbing and a 5 foot wide concrete sidewalk located along the east side of said road. Highway reconstruction includes pavement milling and overlay plus widening, and some complete pavement removal and replacement. The project will also require the abandonment and replacement of an existing water main along the entire project length, replacement of portions of an existing road side storm sewer system and installation of new road side storm sewers. Project will also include replacement of the Beaver Creek Culvert, a 15 foot diameter structural plate pipe culvert, 63 feet in length, with a 20 foot by 8 foot pre-cast concrete box culvert 108 feet in length having the same alignment as the original.
