As required by Town of Henrietta Code, Chapter 125-11 Flood Damage Prevention, construction of the Gene Polosseni Center at RIT will require floodplain mitigation. Approximately 0.39 acres of the proposed floodplain mitigation area is located within the regulated adjacent area of NYS-designated wetland BR-5. The mitigation project will increase flood storage volume by 1,295 cubic yards and create approximately 0.8 acres of new floodplain wetlands.
