Negative Declaration

Nassau County - The City of Glen Cove, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed North Manor Estates will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves an application for a zoning map amendment of a 54.49 acre site from R-1 One Acre Residence District to R-1 One Acre Residence District with Estate Preserve (E) Floating Zone District (Estate District). Under the Estate District's regulations, the applicant is permitted to achieve the full density that would be permitted by the underlying zoning if the applicant was to demolish the existing historic buildings, but in a cluster subdivision design, and in exchange for the preservation of the historically important structures and contributory grounds in accordance with a Preservation Plan, which includes Design Guidelines, a financial program, and other requirements for sustaining the historic structures continuing maintenance and rehabilitation. The project is located at the southeast corner of Dosoris Lane and Lattingtown Road in the City of Glen Cove, New York.

Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Carla Scurry Change of Zone will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a change in the zoning of a parcel from A-Residential 01 to J-Business-2 in the Compatible Growth Area of the Central Pine Barrens, which will result in the existing use (hair salon) being conforming to the underlying zoning designation. The project is located at 9 Eastport Manor Road in Eastport, Town of Brookhaven, New York.

Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Amendment of Article IX, MF Residence District (Multi-Family will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves amendments to Article IX, Multi-Family Residence District in Chapter 85 (Zoning) of the Town Code. Specifically, the proposed code will revise MF Residence criteria and require Pine Barrens Credit Redemption for increased dens. The project is located throughout the Town of Brookhaven, New York.

Amended Negative Declaration

Nassau County - The City of Glen Cove, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Glen Cove Mews will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the subdivision of 9.43 acre tract into four lots to support an existing temple and 72 Condominium units in 7 buildings to be constructed in two phases. The property was previously rezoned from R-3A and R-B Zoning classification to an R-5 district zoning classification. The existing Temple will remain. The project is located on the corner of Hill Street and Cottage Row in the City of Glen Cove, New York.

Positive Declaration and Public Scoping

Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Brookhaven Calabro Municipal Airport; Obstruction Tree Removal and Perimeter Road Project (OTRPRP) may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on May 29, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill, Farmingville NY 11738. The action involves the clearing 3 acres of trees, topping an additional 7 acres and planting 750 trees and seeding 3 acres. Additionally, stormwater leaching basins will be installed.

Part II of the project involves constructing a paved perimeter road and associated fencing (as needed) around the airport property. This project involves 20.5 acres of tree clearing with grading of underlying lands. A total of 13.2 acres of paved road will be installed. Areas which are graded and are not paved will be seeded and additional drainage structures will be installed along the roadway.

A total of 43.5 acres of total disturbance (clearing/grading) will occur on site as part of this project which is being mandated by the FAA (tree clearing/topping) and Homeland Security (Perimeter Road and Fencing).

The project is located at the Calabro Municipal Airport, 135 Dawn Drive in Shirley Town of Brookhaven, New York.
