Dredge two shoreline areas; one 70' long by 20' wide by 4' deep and one 38' long by 14' wide by 2' deep. Dredge spoils will be removed to an upland location and stabilized. Add rip rap to approximately 70' of shoreline.

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Project Description:

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is proposing issuance of a new State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) permit NY-0257265. The Hinckley Wastewater Treatment Facility will discharge 6, 600 gallons per day of treated wastewater from a sewage treatment plant located on Main St in the Hamlet of Hinckley. The plant consists of a 12.000 gallon septic tank and buried sand filter. Treated effluent will be discharged through a dedicated outfall into the West Canada Creek, a class B(T) water. An Article 15 Protection of Waters permit will also be issued for construction of the outfall itself.
