ENB - Region 8 Notices 5/22/2013

Negative Declaration

Orleans County - The Town of Carlton, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Carlton - Extension of Public Water Service to Remaining Areas will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Town of Carlton planning to extend public water to the remaining areas of the Town which are currently unserved. Approximately 121,080 linear feet of waterline will be installed along portions of: Green Road Oak, Orchard River Rd, Bass Road, NYS Route 18, Kendrick Road, Knight's Lane, Ashwood Road, Lakeshore Road, Clark Mills Road, NYS Route 279, Harris Road, Yates-Carlton Town Line Rd, Platten Road, Fuller Road, Stillwater Road, and Transit Road in the Town of Carlton, New York. Activities include the installation of watermain, fire hydrants, valves, watermain connections, residential hook-ups, road crossings, excavation and bedding materials and surface restoration. Residents in these areas are dependent upon individual groundwater supplies that historically have produced very low yields of poor quality water.
