Project Description:

The applicant proposes to disturb a 3.1 acre area for a new sand & gravel mining proposal which contains habitat for the Pine Pinion Moth, an endangered invertebrate species. The new mining proposal was previously public noticed on 6/28/12. An endangered species mitigation plan will be followed, including planting a total of 580 seedlings to establish pitch pine and red pine to restore habitat for the Pine Pinion Moth. The project is located 4000' northwest of the Clintonville Road and St Rte 9 intersection. The proposal also requires a permit from the APA #2012-64.

Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The New York Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) is proposing to extend the public boat launch ramp and restore the failed embankment stabilization in Peru NY. The proposed project includes placement of approximately 3,000 square feet of stone rip rap at a 3H:1V slope along 245 liner feet of shoreline for stabilization. The existing boat ramp will be extended 14'. Approximately 26 cubic yards of overburden material would be removed from the end of the current boat ramp to allow for the extension. The project is located off of NYS Route 9 in the Town of Peru, Clinton County.
