The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has added a link to a translation service developed by Microsoft Inc., entitled Bing Translator, as a convenience to visitors to the DEC website who speak languages other than English.

Negative Declaration

Delaware County - The Town of Walton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed South Mountain Wind Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal to develop the South Mountain Wind Project (the Project) with a minimum generating capacity of up to 20 megawatts (MW). The project will be located on six parcels of leased private land totaling approximately 1,227 acres in the Town of Walton, Delaware County. The current project design consists of up to eight wind turbines (with a rated output of 2.0-3.5MW) with a maximum height of less than 152.5 meters (500 feet). The project will also involve the upgrade or construction of an approximately 4.0 mile system of gravel access roads, installation of approximately 2.5. The project is located off of South River Road in the Town of Walton, NY.
