The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application and Remedial Investigation Work Plan from Rock One Development, LLC for a site known as the 600 River Road Apartments, site ID #C932161. This site is located at 600 River Road in the City of North Tonawanda, within the County of Niagara. Comments regarding this application and work plan must be submitted no later than May 17, 2013. Positive Declaration and Public Scoping Comment Period

Niagara County - The Town of Lewiston, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Proposed Capital Improvements and Amendment of the Joseph Davis State Park Master Plan may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. Written comments on the draft scope will be accepted until May 3, 2013. The Draft Scoping Document is available from the Draft Scoping Document - Town of Lewiston Town Hall, the Lewiston Public Library, the Town of Lewiston Senior Center and on line at: www.townoflewiston.us.

The action involves the consideration of the Town of Lewiston for various capital improvement projects to Joseph Davis State Park. The proposed improvements will require amendments to the 2004 Park Master Plan and development of a supplemental EIS. The proposed improvements include:

Boat Launch and Riverside Area Improvements - Construction of a public boat launch, fishing pier and additional park roads to increase access to the Riverside Area.

Campground and Mainland Improvements - Construction of 60 Recreational Vehicle and 10 camp sites, with a 4,800 square foot building containing supporting amenities/facilities within Joseph Davis State Park.

Canoe Trail and Eastern Area Improvements - Construction of a 7 acre pond and associated canoe trails to connect to two existing ponds.

The project is located at 4130 Lower River Road in the Town of Lewiston, New York.
