Fact Sheet

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has received a Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) application from 301 Belle Isle Road, LLC for a site known as the Mathews Avenue Site, site ID #C734116. This site is located in the Village of Solvay, Town of Geddes, within the County of Onondaga, and is located at 101 Belle Isle Road. Comments regarding this application and the Draft Remedial Action Work Plan accompanying the application must be submitted no later than May 18, 2013. Negative Declaration

Onondaga County - The Lysander Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed McLane Northeast Facility Expansion will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of over 100,000 square feet of commercial warehousing and associated parking. The project is located at 2828 McLane Drive in Baldwinsville, Town of Lysander, New York.

Onondaga County - The Lysander Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Dennis Group, LLC on behalf of Agrana Group will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of a 107,000 ± square foot facility to house offices, warehousing and a processing plant with associated parking. The project is located on Sixty Road in Baldwinsville, Town of Lysander, New York.

Oswego County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Beckwith Pit will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the applicant a new sand mine consisting of a 12.4 acre life of mine with a 6.2 acre affected area for the coming permit term. The applicant will use the sand for snow and ice control on County, Town and Village roads. The project is located Woodruff Road near the intersection of NYS Route 3 in the Town of Hannibal, New York.

Lewis, Oneida and Oswego Counties - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of the 46-Corners Unit Management Plan for State Forest Land will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the 46-Corners Unit Management Plan which applies the principles of sustainable forestry to conserve biodiversity and enrich the lives of the local community. Productive forests provide green space that is an essential benefit for long term cultural, environmental and economic health of rural communities. The 18,037 acre unit includes Big Brook, Cobb Brook, Fall Brook, Florence Hill, Furnace Creek, Mad River, Tri-County and Swancott Hill State Forests. The Plan defines goals and objectives for conserving biodiversity and enhancing opportunities for public use and recreation for the next 15 years.

The primary goal of the Plan is to enhance the biodiversity of 15,737 acres of forested land using sound even and uneven aged silvicultural systems. Protect water quality in 1,726 acres of wetlands and 55.5 miles of streams by establishing protective special management zones around these areas. Maintain the natural character of the Unit while also provide for a variety of compatible recreational activities.

The project is located in eight State Forests in Oneida County in the Towns of Annsville, Florence and Camden, in Lewis County in the Town of Lewis and in Oswego County in the Town of Redfield, New York.

Positive Declaration

Onondaga County - The Town of Skaneateles Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Victory Campus may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a proposal by the applicant for a Major Special Permit and Site Plan approval from the Planning Board for this project. The Applicant classifies the project as an integrated healthcare sports and wellness campus to be called "Victory Campus" to be developed on a 99.5 acre parcel located within the RF, IRO and Highway Commercial Zone Districts. The project will consist of an approximately 61, 000 square foot medical and research facility, a 90,000 square foot medical rehabilitation and athletic performance building, with four outdoor artificial multi-use turf fields, parking for 250 vehicles and 4 busses, with a potential phase 2 build-out to add 80,000 square feet to the medical rehabilitation and athletic performance facility, two multi-use natural grass fields, with five natural grass baseball-softball fields, and additional parking for 100 vehicles. The project is located on NYS Route 20 in the Town of Skaneateles, New York.
