Dutchess County - The Town of Hyde Park Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Culinary Institute of America Student Recreation Center Expansion will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The Culinary Institute of America proposes an expansion of its Student Recreation Center on existing campus grounds. This will involve the expansion of an existing structure by 37,000 square feet. Two adjacent tennis courts will be removed and relocated. Other improvements will include an outdoor dining terrace; access and loading areas; landscaping; screening; and pedestrian improvements. The project is located at 1946 Campus Drive, off of NYS Route 9 in the Town of Hyde Park, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS
Rockland County - The Village Board of the Village of Chestnut Ridge, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Village Green Marketplace Zone Change. The Final EIS is available from the contact person listed below and on line at: http://www.chesnutridgevillage.org.
The action involves an amendment to the zoning local law to create a new district: RS - National and Regional Retail Use District and apply the new zoning district to the Village Green Marketplace property and to amend the Village Zoning Map accordingly. The applicant, Vanick Properties Incorporated of Westwood, NJ, proposes to construct a 137,500 square foot retail center on a 16 acre parcel fronting Red Schoolhouse Road east of the New York State Thruway in the Village of Chestnut Ridge, New York. The proposed retail market place will consist of a 121,000 square foot main building and two "pad" buildings, one being 6,500 square feet and a second being 10,000 square feet. The Marketplace "anchor" will be a full service grocery (supermarket) no larger than 45,000 square feet.
