Saratoga County - The Town Board of the Town of Malta, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed GLOBALFOUNDRIES U.S. Inc FAB 8.2 may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the construction and operation of the FAB 8.2 facility within Development Area I at the Luther Forest Technology Campus (LFTC) in the Towns of Malta and Stillwater. GLOBALFOUNDRIES is requesting that certain amendments be made to the Proposed Development District (PDD) legislation in the Town of Malta in order to accommodate company and design-specific requirements and may, at some point in the future, seek site plan approval for the FAil 8.2 facility. The project is located in portions of the Towns of Malta and Stillwater, New York.
