This Notice has been REVISED from the previous Notice published 2/27/2013: The site is currently permitted to mine a maximum of 34 acres of a 60-acre total approved life of mine boundary area situated on 150 acres controlled by the permittee. The permittee seeks to re-affect approximately 9 acres of previously reclaimed land, located immediately north and west of the 34-acre affected area, for the storage of settling pond fines resulting from the processing of sand and gravel on-site. No change in the mining or processing is proposed.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes to remove deposited gravel from an area approximately 100 feet long and 20 feet wide, restack approximately 125 linear feet of fallen rock rip-rap, and install a new rock weir within the stream channel of Cattail Creek, Class B(ts). The project will disturb a total of approximately 150 linear feet of stream channel and will allow completion of work undertaken to replace the Hoos Road bridge which failed during flooding events of 2012. The project is located on Hoos Road, west of Shandalee Road in Livingston Manor, Town of Rockland.
