Also, the facility operates an exempt emergency generator. The facility NOx emissions are limited to 24.9 tons per year. Records demonstrating compliance with this cap will be kept in accordance with the permit special conditions. The facility is subject to the provisions of State Facility requirements specified under 6NYCRR 201-7. The application, draft permit, relevant supporting materials and regulations are available for review during normal business hours at the DEC office provided in this notice. Comments of support or objection may be made by filing a written statement by the deadline date indicated. DEC may schedule a public hearing based upon an evaluation of the nature and scope of any written objections raised. Hearing notices will contain instructions on filing for party status and submitting comments.

Project Description:

To restore and enhance native swamp forest habitat, the applicant proposes the Buck's Hallow Forest Restoration Project which encompasses a 5.9 acre area within Latourette Park. Non-native vine and shrub species will be removed in both upland forest and low lying wetlands areas using mechanical and chemical methods. The site will then be planted with native trees, shrubs and herbs.Planted material will be maintained and monitored NYC Parks Natural Resource Group staff. The project is located immediately south of Rockland Avenue east of Brielle Avenue to west of Manor Road.
