Chautauqua County - The Cassadaga Valley Central School District, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water Line and Storm Water Management Improvement Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the Cassadaga Valley Central School District to install a new water line to replace its existing, deteriorated water line that currently serves the Cassadaga Valley Middle/High School campus. The proposed water line would extend from the existing campus across private lands within proposed easements to be acquired from nearby property owners, terminating at the corner of State Route 60 and Sinclair Drive Extension where it will be connected to the Village of Sinclairville's water system. The District will implement storm water management measures including construction of two storm water detention basins on its property and transfer a small parcel associated with a former school well to a neighboring landowner. The existing deteriorated water line which is located outside the project area would be disconnected and abandoned in place once the new water line is operational. Also, the project includes miscellaneous site work, drainage work, connection work and general water management and delivery system improvements. The project is located at 5935 Route 60 in Sinclairville, Town of Gerry, New York.
