New York County (Brooklyn) - The New York City Department of Environmental Protection (NYC DEP), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 26th Ward Wastewater Treatment Plant - Carbon Addition Facilities will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by NYC DEP to construct a supplemental carbon addition facility at the 26th Ward Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to enhance nitrogen removal within the existing Biological Nitrogen Removal (BNR) Building. Glycerol would be added as an additional carbon source to the anoxic zones of the aeration tanks to enhance the BNR process. The facility would include above ground glycerol storage tanks, secondary containment and loading/unloading pads.
The proposed action would occur within the footprint of the 26th Ward WWTP located at the intersection of Flatlands Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in the Borough of Brooklyn, New York. The 26th Ward WTTP is a conventional secondary treatment plant comprising approximately 57.3 acres. All activities associated with the proposed project would take place within the existing Plant boundaries and construction activities are anticipated to last approximately 18 months.

New York County (Manhattan) - The New York City Board of Standards and Appeals (NYC BSA), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 547 Broadway will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a Variance (§72-21) to permit the legalization of the use of retail (UG 6) on the first floor and expand the use into the cellar with accessory use in the sub-cellar, contrary to §42-14 (D)(2)(b) in the M1-5B zoning district. The project is located at 547 Broadway in the Borough of Manhattan, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS
New York County (Manhattan) - The Hudson River Park Trust, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Pier 57 Redevelopment Project. The Final EIS is available from the contact listed below and on line at: http://www.hudsonriverpark.org/.
The action involves a proposal by the applicant, Young Woo and Associates, through the entity Hudson Eagle LLC (Hudson Eagle) to redevelop the historic Pier 57 site with retail, restaurant, and other commercial uses; a marina; and educational and cultural and public open spaces uses. Integral to the proposed project is the repair and rehabilitation of Pier 57's historic pier structure, including its caissons. The project is located at Pier 57, West Street at West 15th Street in the Borough of Manhattan, New York.
