Project Description:

The applicant proposes to expand an existing docking facility increasing capacity from 16 vessels to 30 vessels. The project includes the addition of 8 floating dock fingers, which will be installed perpendicular to the existing main dock. The gross surface area of the expansion is 1,360 sq ft. The main dock will not extend out further lakeward than what exists currently. Each floating dock finger will be secured with two 6'x6'x1' concrete anchor blocks on the lake bed, for a total of sixteen blocks (576 sq ft). A 20' docking lane between the property line and the expanded dock fingers edge will be maintained. The marina has an existing underwater lands grant from NYS Office of General Services. The project is located at 129 Lake Street in Rouses Point, approximately 110' to the north of Gaines Marina, in Lake Champlain.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is not subject to SEQR because it is a Type II action.

SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Feb 14, 2013.
