The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) has determined that site ID #510017, known as the Cumberland Bay Sludge Bed-Wilcox Dock site, may be deleted from the New York State Registry of Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Sites. This site is located in the City of Plattsburgh, within the County of Clinton, and is located at the northwestern portion of Cumberland Bay. Comments regarding this action must be submitted no later than March 2, 2013. Project Description: A three lot subdivision, involving wetlands, creating three building lots of 1.55 ± acres, 1.85 ± acres, and 55.27 ± acres. All three lots have shoreline on Lake Harris. The largest lot also has shoreline on the Hudson River. Proposed dwelling footprints are 900 square feet and each dwelling would be served by its own well and on-site wastewater treatment system.
Negative Declaration
Clinton County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Mooers Forks Mine will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the applicant, Town of Mooers, for a new 16.31 acre life of mine unconsolidated surface sand and gravel mine on a 62 acre parcel of land owned by the Town of Mooers. The reclamation objective is for soil stabilization with minimum 1V:3H slopes and the establishment of native grass cover. The project is located on the north side of Davison Road, the entrance road is approximately 1,600 feet west of the intersection with Blackman Corners Road, in the Town of Mooers, New York.
